ABOUT THE AUTHOR 

Born in Melbourne, Australia to an Australian mother and American father, Marie Bartlett spent more than twenty-five years as a creative nonfiction writer and public relations consultant. A member of the American Society of Journalists & Authors (ASJA) and the Western Writers of America (WWA) she has four published nonfiction books to her credit and hundreds of print articles, including features in Good Housekeeping and Seventeen. She has ghost-written three nonfiction books and is currently working on her fourth. 

She holds a Master of Arts degree in Education and a minor in Sociology. 

Her first novel, Pearl, MD is the result of her many years as a nonfiction researcher and her love of history, particularly the late nineteenth century.

    In addition, she ghostwrites for individuals who want to see their own book-length stories come to life. Ghostwritten books include: Contrarian Marketing, Warrior for Freedom: Challenge, Triumph and Change; Scared Straight to Success; work-in-progress A Coveted Life. 

    Marie Bartlett holds a Master’s degree in Education and has had public speaking experience through former jobs, through college level teaching and through presentations of all her books.
